About WorkbenchGuide

Built From Real Experience in Home Construction and Maintenance

WorkbenchGuide was created by Sean Cragin, a licensed general contractor who has spent years working inside homes, repairing problems, and seeing the same issues happen again and again. Many costly repairs could have been prevented if homeowners had a simple system to track maintenance and inspections.

Why we built it

Because “I’ll get to it later” gets expensive.

Most property issues don’t start as emergencies—they start as small, missed tasks. We built WorkbenchGuide to turn maintenance into a simple, repeatable system: a schedule you can trust, checklists you can run in minutes, and step-by-step guidance when you decide to DIY.

Our approach: clarity, consistency, confidence.

We combine preventive schedules, inspection checklists, and task tracking so you can stay ahead of repairs. When it’s time to fix something, our guides help you understand the job, gather the right materials, and complete it safely.

““WorkbenchGuide turned our maintenance from reactive to routine. The checklists keep inspections consistent, and the task history makes it easy to see what’s been done—across every property.””

What we believe

Maintenance is a system—not a scramble.

We believe great property care comes from small actions done consistently. That’s why WorkbenchGuide is designed around repeatable workflows: schedule the work, run the checklist, track the task, and keep a clear record.

Our team brings together home improvement know-how and software craftsmanship. We focus on practical guidance, clear organization, and tools that work just as well for a first-time homeowner as they do for a property manager overseeing multiple locations.

“When maintenance is organized, decisions get easier—and homes stay healthier.”

The WorkbenchGuide team

Why

WorkbenchGuide

Was Created

Most homeowners don’t receive a clear system for maintaining their home. Maintenance tasks get forgotten, inspections are skipped, and small problems slowly grow into expensive repairs. Contractors often see the same preventable issues — clogged drainage, failing water heaters, neglected HVAC systems, and unnoticed leaks. WorkbenchGuide was built to solve this problem by giving homeowners and property managers a simple way to organize maintenance and stay ahead of costly repairs.

Built With Real Contractor Knowledge

As a licensed general contractor, Sean Cragin has worked on countless repair and remodeling projects. Many of the issues homeowners face could have been avoided with regular inspections and basic maintenance. WorkbenchGuide brings that real-world knowledge into a simple platform that helps property owners track maintenance tasks, follow step-by-step repair guidance, and stay organized.
